Guala Closures
Mechanical and Electrical Engineered Frames
By early engagement with the customer and fully understanding the timescales/risk/budget/engineering levels /structural complications/third party risk it was made very clear at an early stage that the Guala Closures Project could only be delivered in the compresses timeline required by utilising collaborative planning with all parties , The level of engineering and compressed timescales made it evidently clear that this could turn in to a problematic project to deliver within the timescales set by client.
Collaborative working and by arranging bi-weekly workshops to engineer the ultimate solution for all parties was embraced by the various team members, this resulted in quick solutions/decisions and technical signoffs for all works/trades.
By using the lean construction methods, and engaging openly with Client and clients suppliers, we discussed budgets, resource, digital, technical signoffs, programme, designs, material choice and strategy, developing clear and precise communication channels was imperative, this was implemented and managed by OSM team and Sauter/EBS Technical services.
We proved to the client that if we are to work traditional methods and try and deliver the Mid-Level Modules in this way, the project would fail on delivering in the stringent timescales and resource availability.
